Competition description
On the 8th of March, we will host a competition of the 27th Quadrangular Femení de Catalunya. This is an official tournament of the Catalan Golf Federation.
The Quadrangular Femení is a team competition of 6 players from clubs/courses or institutions. In order to participate, players must be 22 years old on the date the tournament starts and have a maximum handicap of 35.4 or 11.5, if they’re already participating in the Ladies Interclubs of Catalonia.
GOLF COURSES AND DATES
The allocation of the golf courses and dates will be determined according to the criteria established by the FCGolf.
- Peralada Golf Club 8th of March (Wednesday)
- Golf Montanyà 13th of April (Thursday)
- Fontanals Golf 11th of May (Thursday)
- Club de Golf Barcelona 15th of June (Thursday)
PARTICIPANTS
All clubs/courses or institutions affiliated to the RFEG in Catalonia (whether they are represented in the Ladies Interclubs of Catalonia, "Liguilla"), with an homologated course of at least 9 holes and exceptionally also those without a course and who count with a minimum of 150 members on December 31st of the previous year, may take part.
To be a member of a team, you must be in possession of the corresponding valid Federative License, and you must be:
- Member or subscriber of the Club or Entity, from the 1st of January of the year in which the event is held.
- Or be federated by this Club or Entity, from the 1st of January of the year in which the event is held. In case of not being federated by the Club/Course since January 1st, she will be able to represent the Club/Course if her first and only license is for this Club/Course.
Teams will not be limited in the number of players. Each Club or Entity will present a team of 6 players on each course, who may be different from one venue to another.
The players must be 22 years old on the kick-off date of the Tournament.
HANDICAPS
The maximum entry handicap is 35.4. The minimum entry handicap for players of teams, that are also represented in the Ladies Interclubs of Catalonia, shall be 11.5.
If the players comply with the maximum or minimum handicap registration requirements the first time they participate in the current year's Quadrangular, they may continue to participate in the rest of the rounds, even if they increase or reduce their handicap.
PLAYING FORMULA
Four rounds will be played as Fourball Stableford Handicap.
TEE TIMES
Provided that the course permits it, tee-off will be by shotgun start, otherwise by two-tee - and as a last resource, by one tee start.
- For the first round (course), they will be done by draw.
- For the rest of the rounds (courses), they will be done in reverse order to the general classification.
- Requests for changes of timetable OR day of play will not be accepted.
- The Tournament Committee has the right, in exceptional cases, to alter the tee time schedule.
- The starts will be of 4 players, two from each team.
